Ruth Peart

Soprano

 

Known for her cross over work in both classical and music theatre, Ruth Peart has studied voice for fifteen years. Ruth graduated from Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music with a Master of Music degree in Voice Performance where she studied with Professor Kimberly Gill. Ruth also holds a Certificate in Vocology in which is able to teach singers through voice building techniques. Ruth has had many successes as a recipient of the Margaret Speaks Vocal Scholarship from Ohio State as well as the Artistic Excellence award from the Jacobs School of Music. Ruth has performed in many productions with the Madison County Arts Council of Ohio, Jacob’s Opera and Ballet Theater, most recently performed as Moth Fairy in A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Britten) with the Chicago Summer Opera Young Artist Program, and will be performing as Edith in Opera Project Columbus’s Pirates of Penzance this June.
